We went to the Gilles St Market in Adelaide today. A critical mass of nice quality and variation, but I was particularly struck by the environmentally sound blender, you cycle your way to a drink. I’ve never seen one before – a perfect market gimmick.
Also here, Rawsome. Two gorgeous and talented girls setting out to make everything free – gluten, sugar, cook free goodies which are really REALLY yummy.
Next up the farmers’ market at Wayville. I was impressed by the quality and range and came away with Italian pork sausages and Alexandrina cheddar which I love and haven’t eaten for years. Oh, and some yabbies.
All in all, the Central Market has a bit of competition in town as well as out. Next week, Mt Pleasant Farmers’ Market. Will report.
