Toilets in Stockholm

Even the loos on the street look okay here, but still, here are a few to look out for:

For poshness it is hard to choose between

1) The NK department store The toilets are on the top floor and as is typical in Stockholm, you pay a few kroners to access them. Males and females use the same toilets, as far as I could see. As is also typical of the town, each loo has its own washbasin.

and

2) The Grand Hotel‘s main lobby toilets.

If, on the other hand, you are looking for cute, then go to Borgs Bageri at Vasastan.

Keep a few small coins for the loos – quite often in public areas, for example food halls and some museums, they are required to open the door to the loo. It seems to be a good system, nice clean public toilets. People say you can’t get a bargain in Stockholm, but this is definitely one of them.

  1. I am sorry not to have voted at once, but your toilet reports are so much less circumstantial than the ones in Vol 3 of Karl Ove Knausgård’s magnum opus. Still, not too bad for a girl.
